Eligibility Criteria (2026)
- Education: Students must be enrolled in Classes IX, X, XI, or XII.
- School Type: Must attend a government-run, government-aided, or government-sponsored school or Madrasah.
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Financial & Attendance:
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2 lakh.
- Students should ideally have at least 60% attendance in the previous academic year.
- The student must not already own a bicycle through other government schemes.
Application & Distribution Process
The scheme is managed through a dedicated e-governance portal, Sabooj Sathi Online.
- School-Level Enrollment: Schools identify eligible students and verify their records starting from June each year.

- Aadhaar Card of the student.
- School Identity Card.
- Family Income Certificate.
- Recent passport-sized photograph.
- Distribution: Bicycles are typically distributed at specific distribution points arranged by the district and Block administration.
