The West Bengal Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme (WBBCCS) is a self-employment initiative launched to provide young entrepreneurs with collateral-free loans to start or expand micro-enterprises. As of 2026, the scheme aims to support approximately 2 lakh youth per year across the state.
Key Financial Benefits
- Loan Amount: Beneficiaries can avail of loans up to ₹5 lakh for manufacturing, service, trading, and agro-based projects.
- Subsidized Interest: The government offers a subsidized interest rate of 4% per annum for the borrower.
- Margin Money Subsidy: The state provides a subsidy of 10% of the project cost, capped at ₹25,000.
- Collateral-Free: No security or third-party guarantee is required. The government of West Bengal, in collaboration with CGTMSE, provides 100% guarantee coverage for the bank loan.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 55 years old.
- Residency: Must be an Indian national and a permanent resident of West Bengal for at least the last 10 years.
- Family Limit: Only one person per family (defined as self and spouse) is eligible.
- Income: There is no family income ceiling for applicants.
- Exclusions: Current employees of Central/State Governments or Government Undertakings and bank loan defaulters are not eligible.
How to Apply
- Online Portal: Register and submit applications through the official Bhabishyat Credit Card Portal.
- Duare Sarkar: Applications are also accepted at periodic Duare Sarkar camps.
- Assistance Centers: You can seek help for submission at the nearest BDO Office, Bangla Sahayata Kendra (BSK), or District Industries Centre (DIC).

- Aadhaar Card and Voter ID (EPIC).
- Proof of residence in West Bengal for 10 years.
- Business Project Report (DPR) or a proforma of the proposed business.
- Recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
