Announced in the Interim Budget 2026 by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, this scheme provides financial aid to unemployed youth to bridge the gap while they search for jobs or pursue skills.
- Financial Benefit: ₹1,500 per month transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- Duration: Paid until the individual finds employment or for a maximum of 5 years.
- Eligibility:
- Permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Age between 21 and 40 years.
- Educational qualification: Minimum Madhyamik (Class 10) pass.
- Must not be receiving other state benefit (scholarships like Aikyashree are exempt).
