Amader Para Amader Samadhan (APAS) is a grassroots participatory governance initiative launched by the Government of West Bengal on August 2, 2025. It is designed to empower local communities by allowing residents to identify and prioritize small-scale development projects within their own neighborhoods. 

Key Features of the Scheme (2025–2026)

• Decentralized Development: Citizens attend neighborhood camps to identify local infrastructure gaps such as road repairs, drainage issues, school maintenance, and street lighting.
• Funding: The state has allocated approximately ₹10 lakh per polling booth for these local projects, with a total estimated state-wide budget of ₹8,000 crore.
• Implementation: Projects are prioritized by the community and executed by the government to resolve “small but crucial” issues that affect daily life.
• Scope: The initiative aims to cover over 80,000 polling booths across West Bengal through approximately 27,000 to 31,700 local camps.
